Leaves

 Leaves (plural of leaf) are an organ of a plant. Their primary function is photosynthesis. Leaves are flat to increase their surface area to volume ratio, their cells contain many chloroplasts, and they undergo heliotropism. All of these adaptions increase the photsynthetic ability of the leaves.
