The 'Thyroid Hormones" is an umbrella term referring to Triiodothyronine, T3, and Thyroxine, T4, two Tyrosine-based hormones produced by the thyroid gland. Their synthesis involves the iodination of two precursors, monoiodothyronine, T1, and diiodothyronine, T2.
