The Ca2+ signalling toolkit comprises all the mechanisms involved in the movement of Ca2+ across the cell membrane and control of its internal concentration. It includes all the OFF mechanisms and ON mechanisms involved in decreasing and increasing internal Ca2+ levels respectively.
