Nicotinic Acetylcholine receptor

 A receptor that responds to binding from the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine and activated by the ligand nicotine. It is a ligand-gated ion channel which can be found on plasma membranes of neurons or postsynaptic membranes of the neuromuscular junction.
