The sympathetic nervous system is part of the ANS (autonomic nervous system) and is responsible for determining the 'fight or flight' response. Effects on the bodty produced by the SNS include accelerated heart rate, pupil dilation, inihibition of salivation and digestion, bladder and bronchi relaxation and stimulation of glucose release.
