Secretory vesicles
Secretory vesicles are like sacs in the cytoplasm of a cell containing proteins, carbohydrates, nucleosides, and lipids that are ready to be secreted out of the cell. Secretory vesicles can also carry waste materials from the cell, especially for phagocytic cells. These waste materials result from the digestion by lysozymes of endocytosed "food materials". Secretory vesicles can also be a medium of ion transport through the plasma membrane, especially in action potential.
