A molecule is defined as 2 or more atoms chemically bound together, consisting of one or more chemical element. Using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) the chemical structure of the molecules can be seen in high definition at room temperature. Molecules that are linked to the same molecule forming a chain creates a polymer, the molecules that are linked together are defined as a monomer.
