NADPH (also known as NADP+) is an abbreviation for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. [1] It is a cofactor, commonly used in reduction reactions. It acts as an electron and hydrogen donor[2]. NADPH has a similar structure to NADH, the only difference is the additional phosphate group in NADPH.
