Valine

Valine is an amino acid with a large non-polar side chain -CH(CH₃)₂^[1]., with the three-letter code Val and the single letter code V. It is a hydrophobic amino acid. The codons for valine are GUU, GUC, GUA and GUG^[2]^[3].
