ADP-ribosylation is where ADP-ribose polymers are covalently bonded to a protein. There are a number of ways in which we can detect proteins which have been ADP-ribosylated, for example, there are a number of proteomic approaches. Some of these include; using antibodies specific to ADP-ribose and boronate affinity chromatography, or by using protein microarrays, which is a more recent method.
