Bacterial chromosome replication
The majority of bacterial chromosomes are circular in composition. Replication of these cirular bacterial chromosomes is initiated at a unique site in the DNA called the "Origin of Replication" or "OriC". Replication proceeds from this point bi-directionally from the origin (OriC) to the terminus referred to as "TerC".
