Blood cells (medically referred to as hematocytes) form the cellular basis of the blood and serve many physiological functions.
These blood cells, in humans, can be catergorised under three domains: red blood cells (erthyocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes) and platelets (thrombocytes), all of which carry out a invididual function.
