Carrier protein

Carrier protein is a membrane transport protein that binds to specific solute and undergoes conformational changes to transfer the bound solute across the membrane. Carrier proteins involve in facilitated diffusion and active transport which are depend on down or against the concentration gradient during the transportation[1].
