Genomics is the study of the Genome. A genome denotes the totality of all genes on all chromosomes in the nucleus of a cell.
In greater detail, genomics relies on comparative analysis of the total DNA sequence within the cells of different Species in order to understand evolutionary pathways, the Genes differing within species and for the study of Genetics.
