What did you do?

Documented on video Gavin Robson’s teaching of etching, screen-printing and relief techniques as a means of creating a teaching and learning online resource for staff and students that was available 24 hours per day.

Who is involved?

Erika Servin ( Fine Art Printmaking Technician), Gavin Robson (Lecturer in Fine Art, Printmaking), Yilis Suriel (Culture lab Technician), and Fine Art undergraduate and postgraduate students.

How do you do it?

I did this project of producing the 26 videos as part of the SSSDP in 2015. Once the videos were done we uploaded them to SACS technical webpage where students are able to view them.

Why do you do it?

The aim of the project was to document Gavin Robson’s teaching of etching, screen-printing and relief techniques. The other objective was to create a teaching and learning online resource for staff and students that was available 24 hours per day.

Does it work?

The project is still in its first year but has had very positive responses from staff and students. We need to raise awareness of it through advertising.
