My current base is Newcastle Civic Centre, where German nationals and others requiring assistance connected with Germany can contact me for an appointment by telephoning 0191 2336317 or emailing newcastle-upon-tyne@hk-diplo.de
As an Honorary Consul, I am able to assist with applications for German biometric passports and have the machinery for the fingerprinting process. I am also able to provide certified copies of documents, certify translations from German to English or English to German, certify signatures and confirm identity of individuals. I undertake the application process for birth declarations, name change through marriage and other matters required under German law such as declining of an inheritance or application for a Police Clearance Certificate. I am available for enquiries into matters of nationality or in emergency situations (accidents, illness, loss of documents etc.).
In addition, I am invited to attend events concerning German British relations and represent the German government on appropriate occasions. I am employed through the German Foreign Office on an honorary basis and speak German fluently.
