Valvular Heart Disease is a type of rheumatic heart disease where problems occur on the heart valves.
Example of damage of the valves:
- Stenosis
- Prolapse
- Regurgitation
Example of causes of valvular damage :
- illnesses such as infective endocarditis and rheumatic fever
- Ageing by time (e.g: degeneration & calcification
- Congenital Defects
