Erwin Chargaff (11th August 1905 - 20th June 2002) was an Austro-Hungarian Biochemist who was most famous for his work in the field of genetics. Chargaff invented a chemical process to determine how much of each base is present in DNA. He also observed the relationships between different bases; Chargaff's rules.
