Blood glucose level

Blood glucose level is the amount of sugar (Glucose) in an individuals' blood stream at any given time. Blood glucose levels can be measured using an appropriate test strip, a blood glucose meter and a small needle to prick the patients finger with.

The normal range for a healthy patient without diabetes is between 4-8 mmol/L however the values for a diabetic patient will fluctuate more due to the problems with their insulin.
