Adrenergic receptors respond to adrenaline and noradrenaline and can be found in a variety of different tissues.

Adrenergic receptors can be sub divided into two major classes: α and β.

Adrenergic receptors can be further subdived into α1 , α2, β1 and β2.

Adrenergic receptors are G-protein coupled receptors. [1]
