Sarcoplasmic recticulum

The sarcoplasmic reticulum is a highly specialized form of the smooth endoplasmic reticulum.[1] It is a network of membrane-enclosed tubules that extends throughout the sarcoplasm,[2] and is assigned to the regulation of intracellular calcium homeostasis.
