Sertraline is a common anti-depressant in adult patients which works as an SSRI (Serotonin Selective Reuptake Inhibitor). It was introduced by Pfizer in 1991. It is used to treat a variety of disorders including depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorders and anxiety. Also referred to as Zoloft.
