NADP+, or Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate is the oxidised form of NADP, having taken up a proton (H+). NADP+ provides the reducing power for many vital biochemical rections, as with every oxidation of NADP threre is a simultaiuos reduction of another molecule within the pathway, for oxidation and reduction always happen together. A helpful way of remebering what oxidation  and reduction actualy mean in terms of electron transfer is to use OILRIG- Oxidatio is loss, Reduction is gain.
