Template strand

DNA Template strand (also known as the aniti-sense strand), is the strand that RNA polymerase binds to and uses as its template during DNA transcription, generating a complementary mRNA molecule. This mRNA can then be translated by ribosomes forming a polypeptide chain of amino acids [1].
