Alkenes

Alkenes are hydrocarbons with a carbon-carbon double bond. Alkenes have a general formula of C_nH_2n. They are known as unsaturated, where as alkanes are known as saturated. Examples include ethene (C₂H₄), propene (C₃H₆), butene (C₄H₈) etc.
