# Dilution formula

From The School of Biomedical Sciences Wiki

Dilution is a way to a solution more diluted in labarotory. With correct calculation, we can easily get the desired concentration of a solution. There are several ways to dilute the solution. For example, serial dilution. The formula of the dilution is shown as below^{[1]}:

C_{1}V_{1} = C_{2}V_{2 , }where c represent concentration, v represent volume._{}

C_{1} = the initial concentration of the solution

V_{1} = the initial volume of the solution

C_{2} = the final concentration of the solution

V_{2} = the final volume of the solution
