Follicle stimulating hormone
From The School of Biomedical Sciences Wiki
Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is a gonadotrophic hormone released by the pituitary gland in both males and females. When FSH is released into the bloodstream it travels to either the ovaries or the testes and binds to receptors located on their surface. In females the binding of FSH to the ovaries stimulates ovarian follicles to develop.
