Plant and animals cells are larger than bacterial cells, they are also prokaryotic.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; name cannot be a simple integer. Use a descriptive title Bacterial cells have a cell wall, similar to plant cells. This cell wall can be seen using an electron microscope. Bacterial cells do not have a nucleus, instead they have 2 types of DNA: plasmids and chromosomal. Plasmids are circular shaped and carry extra genetic infromation, the chromosomal DNA carries most of the information needed for the cell. The chromosomal DNA is located in the nucleoid. Some bacteria have a flagellum, this aids with movement and can help the bacteria to penetrate cells.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; name cannot be a simple integer. Some bacteria cells have pili, they are small hair like projections on the outer membrane of the cell, the pili aid the bacteria to stick to other cells, this helps the bacteria infect other cells.[1]
