A disaccharide is a Carbohydrate formed by the joining of two Monosacharides in a Condensation reaction.

The combinations of common disaccharides are:

Maltose	Glucose + Glucose
Lactose	Glucose + Galactose
Sucrose	Glucose+ Fructose
