Open reading frame

An Open reading frame is a part of the sequence that contains no Stop stop codonstop codoncodons. It reads in 5' to 3' direction of DNA sequence. It is mainly used in order to find protein coding regions of DNA . A long Open Reading frame is not conclusive evidence of a protein coding region, but along with other evidence it is an important consideration.
