Type II Diabetes is one of the two main types of diabetes and occurs when the cells in the body do not react properly to insulin or the body does not make enough insulin. This results in glucose in the body staying in the blood, causing blood sugar levels to be high and reduces the uptake and usage of glucose in body cells, for energy. This type of diabetes is also known as 'insulin resistance'.
