Animal cells are eukaryotic cells with a variety of membrane-bound organelles situated in a cytosol that is contained within a phospholipid bilayer. Due to the fluidity of the cells' membrane, animal cells often have irregular and non-permanent shapes which can change depending on the net movement of water into and out of the cell by osmosis through its semi-permeable membrane. Organelles wthin animal cells include; mitochondriaribosomes, a nucleus, the Golgi apparatuslysosomes and the Endoplasmic reticulum.
